Life is so busy. It is hard to fit it all in. There are so many places that we need to be, so many things we need to do and so many details that need our attention. Add in Holidays and fall school events, it is nearly impossible to fit it all in. What suffer is … well … us. we skip yoga, a walk or sleep trying to get it all done.
As I added in running companies and managing huge teams into my mix, I learned the art of delegating. The question I ask myself is “Could someone else accomplish this task?”. Be careful here, the question isn’t “Could someone else do this exactly like I would” simply, could someone else get it done? I am super picky about my ingredients so I hear you. I resisted it for years.
The pandemic forced me to delegate this task as I am immunocompromised and was strongly encouraged to stay home by my specialists in the early days. Now, I can’t imagine going back. It’s not just that I don’t like the grocery, it is also what I can do with the time and the energy it costs me to go to the grocery. I have great relationships with many of the same shoppers and I can chat with them in real time. 90% of the time, they pick exactly what I would have chosen and I get to do something more important than drag to the store. When you open and account, you get a little link to share that can even earn you free shopping credits. Here is mine https://delivery.publix.com/t/8cd1050e1 if you want to give it a try.

Regardless of what you choose the moral is this, don’t run yourself to death doing things that drain you. Your time is valuable and your sanity is priceless.
Now let me hear from you. Do you have your groceries delivered? If so, what service?
