- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 medium yellow onion
- 3 large cloves garlic
- 2 TBS of NSF tomato paste substitute
- 1 tsp of cumin
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- ½ tsp tumeric
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- ¼ c. Worcestershire sauce
- Chopped green onion for garnish
- 2 TBS of olive oil
Saute the onions in olive oil for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 2 more minutes.
Add the ground beef and begin to brown.
As the meat browns, add the herbs and spices
When the beef has browned, add the liquids and tomato paste substitute
Cook until thickened. Serve on buns and garnish with green onion.
